We have spent years studying the art and science of Western Horsemanship as well as developing our coaching skills. Our goal and philosphy is to develop unity between you and your horse.

Roy Kelm

I have trained and shown horses in various Western events with my specialty being in Cutting. I obtained my Level l and Level ll Western Coaching Certification with Equine Canada, then became the Master Course Conductor for Alberta for 12 years and also served as the National Chair for the Western Coaching Program for 9 years.

In October 2015, I began working at Lakeland College in Vermilion and teach the Western Ranch and Cow Horse program. I instruct students on how to train their horse in various western activities, such as leg yielding, lead departures, collection, proper stops, roll backs, spins, sidepassing and two tracking to cover just a few of the techniques they need to be able to open and close gates on horse back, do flying lead changes, sort cattle and learn how the basics of Ranch Roping over the course of the school year. I find this to be a tremendously challenging yet a Highly Rewarding career. Thanks Lakeland !!

I specialize in Western Equitation. My students have competed actively on the Quarter Horse Circuit winning High Point Alberta awards and qualitfying for World Quarter Horse Shows. I obtained my Level l and Level ll Western Coaching certification with Equine Canada and then became a Level l Course Conductor for10 years.
